SESSION
I : MANAGEMENT OF CHAOS
PROBLEM STATEMENT
The
environment of organisations be it internal or external has become
more and more complex and subject to a number of abrupt and unexpected
events. Accostumed to operating in a stable environment, many organisations
are today in a state of circumscribed instability, also called Chaos
and are regularly taken aback by events. But Chaos, constantly creates
new opportunities and new threats.
This
seminar is aimed at answering the following questions :
·
Why Managers need to know the theories of chaos ?
· How to take account of uncertainty and rapidly provide
a solution in a conjectural environment
· What measures may Managers take to regularly maintain expected
equilibrium ?
· How can managers propel their enterprises by taking advantage
of the opportunities of chaos in their sector ?
· What is the mode of management adapted to the complexity
of modern
enterprises ?
Managing
Chaos is therefore one of the major stakes of the management of
organisations of the 21st century.
